How to Stop Long-Haul Covid and Feel Good Again

Those of us who had Covid might be still working out a few kinks, those crappy after-effects.
But we can return to good health.
We can feel great again.

It takes time to gather data and figure it out (which is why my dear MD hasn’t been much help, as they depend on studies yet to be done).
I have no research team, but here’s what I’ve seen so far in my own healing journey since spring of 2020. (Take it or leave it, as you wish.)

Some After-effects that cause long-haul Covid:
Histamine overload
Mast cell activation
Stiff sticky fascia which cramps the organs (and can potentially damage the lungs and kidneys, possibly gallbladder, liver, heart, and other organs)

Some Remedies for long-haul Covid:
Low histamine diet (Histamine intolerance causes much of the fatigue and other symptoms.)
Supplements (see FLCCC protocol list)
Rest, gentle self-care, great hydration
Visceral Manipulation therapy to restore the fascia to flexibility. Also helpful – stretching with myofascial therapy work and yin yoga.
For hair loss, try the fascia blasting method to regrow hair.

Last year I puzzled over strange symptoms that looked like allergies (except I did not have allergies – my sinuses were clear and felt fine). I had a teeny tiny post nasal drip, but mostly fatigue with intermittent nausea and weakness. Exercise was sometimes more difficult than it had been. (Because of hidden inflammation, it turns out. The fallout of this long-haul has been strange, because I had only a mild to moderate case of the virus – it wasn’t too horrible at the time.)

By August 2021 I realized the root cause was histamine intolerance – HIT. (Symptoms had appeared 6 months after I had the first-version Covid, then another 9 months to figure it out.)
I began a low histamine diet.
(I used antihistamines for a while, but that is hard on the body in the long run.)

Histamine is produced in the body but also is found in virtually all foods (some more than others).
Histamine is a major player in our immune system functions. (We need it.)
Histamine increases in response to an allergy, causing us to sneeze, cough, and feel bad.

Then we take antihistamines to feel better. (Just a few weeks ago, medical media announced that antihistamines do help with long haul Covid. But how long do we want that potentially harmful Band-Aid, instead of healing the root cause?)

After staying on my low histamine diet and taking Quercetin with Bromelain, I felt much better and wrote a post on it in November ’21. (Had to wait till it worked, to share it.)

Come to find out, the most common cause of histamine intolerance is Mast Cell Activation syndrome (MCAS).
Mast cells are white blood cells throughout the body. We activate more of them when we have allergies or infections.
Mast cells trigger the symptoms of inflammation and the allergic response. They bring in the histamine.
The mast cells then start repairing tissues after the stressor (i.e., infection or allergen) is gone.
This is a normal process for the body.

However, with Mast Cell Activation syndrome, a lot of other triggers can cause them to release inflammation and histamine. They go hyperactive with bodily inflammation, as it were.

(Thus the fatigue and other symptoms. But I didn’t want to claim that syndrome as my own. I insist that the body can heal itself, no matter what.)

The FLCCC front-line doctor group which has been the most proactive in seeking remedies for Covid, now states that “many consider post-COVID to be a variant of the mast cell activation syndrome.”

Okay – next:
Almost immediately after my November 2021 histamine post, the Universe handed me my new task, which was to prevent potential kidney disease.
A surprise in routine blood work showed that my kidneys were functioning at only 50% (GFR 50), which is considered to be third stage kidney disease.
(What?? Function had been a normal 80 in 2018.)

Thankfully, within a few days after that scary lab work, I was scheduled to see my visceral manipulation therapist at And Breathe wellness center. (You may remember in August/September of 2020, she opened up my sticky lungs after Covid.)

Now (Nov ’21) she found that my kidneys were stuck to the peritoneal wall and twisted a bit. The right kidney had somehow pulled away down low, out of its place, because of sticky fascia.
She brought my kidneys back to a normal position.
I then drank tons of water (and Emergen-C, on her advice).

Six days after the visceral treatment, my kidney lab work showed a magnificent improvement.
GFR was 88, compared to ten days earlier, when it was 50.
My kidneys were better than ever.
(I know, right?!? Kidney disease? NO, Thank you!)

Visceral Manipulation loosens up the fascia, which surrounds and encapsulates the organs and every part of the body like one big web.

A happy organ wants to be in its rightful place, gently moving in its own specific way, as it was designed to do.

As far as I’m concerned, Visceral Manipulation is a primary treatment after Covid.
I say this because the visceral therapists are finding that virtually everybody who had Covid in 2020-2021 (early version or Delta) has restrictions in their lungs and sometimes in other organs.
(Omicron and more recent variants do not seem to have that effect, say the therapists. But keep in mind, we are not a research team, and this is all personal observation. You may not need visceral manipulation if you have had only the recent type of Covid.)

Now for a purely speculative thought.
Fibroblasts in the fascia also produce pro-inflammatory cytokines.
We remember that “cytokine storm” was part of the Covid process, causing tons of inflammation throughout the body. Can it be that our fascia (which encapsulates and permeates every body part) has played a major role in the Covid inflammation?
I don’t know. (I’m not a medical scientist.)
I’m not blaming just the fascia, because we have mast cells throughout the body, too, likely to go rogue after this crazy virus, to propagate inflammation.

But we can calm them and rebalance them back into alignment!

Keep your sunny side up!
The body is a self-repairing vehicle, if we give it what it needs.

We can and we will regain our good health!
It is happening for me – I feel great now, with a more supportive diet and good hydration.

Health and Vitality can happen for you!
Go for it!

P.S. A couple weeks after this post, Eden Energy Medicine offered a quick easy self-care energy method to reduce long-haul and strengthen the life force. Check it out!

P.P.S. Even later now, I found the supplement “Moducare” (plant sterols) which is known to balance the immune system very well. (The histamine issue is an over-active immune system.) I’ve been using Moducare from Thorne company. The recommendation is to use it at least 3 months, as I understand it.
Remember we don’t prescribe anything here – just sharing personal experience.

(Full disclosure – I finished my histamine intolerance in November, and fully opened to the holidays, eating and drinking everything for the next 3 months. But then I fell back into histamine intolerance – back to a low-histamine diet now, with supplements I will do for 3 to 4 weeks, maybe a bit longer. I’m feeling good, but I will be more careful about my food choices for some time. Give the body whatever time it needs. Organic veggies are filled with photons, and what could be better than eating tons of light?)

Find Visceral Manipulation practitioners near you. (On the list, confirm that they have training in Visceral Manipulation – and talk with them about your issue before scheduling.)

  1. Dear Diane

    Hello from the UK.

Very interesting and useful indeed, many thanks. Where to start? I have a facial palsy, the cause of which the NHS in its ignorance eventfully put down to an alleged cancer after 1.5 years from commencement of the facial drop (July 2018).

I had said to the oncologist that I felt as though I had a super-cold, I had been taken beyond the normal sleep layer and my sleep was seriously disrupted.

I was put onto immuno-therapy. Goodness knows what was in it, they don’t tell you. I trusted the doctors. Now I do not trust them one inch. In September 2020 (perhaps it was 9/11!!) it was reveled to me that I should look as sodium nitrite (E250).

And there it was, the answer. It a neuro-toxin, used in industrial settings among other things to stop corrosion.

As a building surveyor I knew about electrolytic action and thus quickly understood that in the body this mean affecting the nerves and paralysis.

I checked what my wife and I had been eating and this include bacon with sodium nitrite in it. This converts to nitro-samines, a far more toxic substance. The reason my wife did not suffer was that I ate the crisped up fat and rind and she did not as she had a rather high cholesterol level (I am now not convinced that doctors understand cholesterol properly, but that is another matter).

This does not conclude the other factors I now believe induced by the NHS treatments including scans. I must set it out on my site.

Anyway, I am working through clearing out the toxins which is a slow process, but there are signs of improvement. My energy is slowly returning as my sleep settles down again (I have normally been a good sleeper).

My main thrust has been boosting my vitamin D and C. Quercetin seems very helpful, although as this is apple based I understand, this makes sense of the old adage ‘An apple a day keeps the doctors away’!

As regards Covid 19 I have done much research. Perhaps I might share this on another comment at some point.

However, I have seen on another post of yours re the CDC saying natural immunity was the better than vaccines. I will not say no more than this for now that, having researched them, I avoid vaccines like the plague.

    Many thanks again.

    Kind regards
    Baldmichael Theresoluteprotector’sson
Please excuse the nom-de-plume, this is as much for fun as a riddle for people to solve if they wish.

    • Dear Baldmichael –
Good to hear from you – I like your name!
Wow, you have been through the wringer, health-wise. I know it can get crazy.
When I’m clearing toxins, I like to take Bentonite clay – you’ll find it here on my blog somewhere (via search box).

      This having-a-body thing can be interesting . . .

Yes, natural immunity is proven to be the most effective so far. (And today I see they want to push a 4th vaccine. Oy.)
THere is so much controversy around this topic, I try to stay neutral – or somewhat neutral – on my posts.

Mostly I want to help folks simply be healthy (body mind spirit).

      All the Best –
      Diane

      • Hello Diane

Many thanks for your reply and glad you like the name! I like yours which includes the word ‘angel’ if you anagram it. This explains why what you do is so helpful.

I had thought I should use my real name, but then it seemed right to set a challenge for people. And thanks for the reminder re Bentonite clay. I have been aware of this in recent months, although I have been using charcoal which seems to have a similar effect.

As regards vaccine I believe we will see seven of the wretched things before this is all over.

If you should want to look at my Covid 19 summary here’s a link.

I will say that some of what I found I had already understood, albeit very simply. Once I realised I had been duped by the ‘advertising’ of big pharma it made sense, and I got very, very angry.

As to those behind it all that also made sense as I already had the basic understanding to hand, and explains what has been going on for a long time now.

Anyway, if it should be useful please use as you will, it is all free.

Thanks again for your info and I must go and check your bentonite info.

        Yours

      • Hi Baldmichael –
Thanks for the link. Interesting stuff.
I agree there is much confusion on the planet these days.

I’ve heard the theory that Covid is actually a toxin-problem (not a virus) – but this mystifies me, as I have been a clean food/drink person for decades. I eat/drink healthier than anybody I know. I also have done numerous fasts and detox practices, cleansings, over the years. I find it hard to believe that my body needed to release more toxins (so then it “caught Covid”).
My immune system had been quite strong against everything, or so it appeared, through the years.
In fact it served me well, as my Covid experience was not difficult. Yet it had repercussions.

Someday, somewhere, we may determine some true answers.
For now, I simply share what has worked to help me feel better, physically, mentally, spiritually.

        Cheers!
        Diane

  2. Hi Diane

Many thanks for this. You have been very sensible for decades. And this in a world where it has become unceasingly difficult to be sensible and avoid the numerous toxins in the environment. I had largely been sensible; until I let my guard down as it were and ate the bacon with sodium nitrite in it.

However, in so doing I became a guinea pig if you like and was able to analyse what was going on.

Perhaps I may share some of my standard text on the ‘flu’ or Covid 19 as it is now called.

“Covid 19 is the ‘flu, dressed up as a monster to scare people, re-branded if you will. This helps big pharma etc, control the populace and make more money.

The ‘flu is the internal toxicosis of the body, mainly via urea, partly due to metabolism of food and partly due to the many poisons in our environment which can and do enter our bodies in the air, food and water. The ‘flu cannot be transmitted to someone else as it is individual to each person.

Unless your blood is given to someone in a blood transfusion, for example.

In essence urea is a neuro-toxin due to the nitrogen which the body may use up to a point but must ultimately excrete as is becomes ammonia which is highly toxic.

Injecting poisons such as via vaccines merely adds to the toxicosis problem. Vaccines have never been of any use, it is merely that constant and persistent ‘advertising’ persuaded people that they were of use. The various deaths and harm have been well-documented over the decades. It is being documented now.

Vitamin D deficiency is the true pandemic due to indoor working and living away from the sunshine which, if we do the right thing things, will give us vitamin D (free!). Big pharma etc. are not keen on free as they don’t make much money out of it.

Vitamin D levels drop in the winter months, depending on latitude, due to reduced sunshine levels and as any gains in the summer months are depleted.

Lack of vitamin D causes rickets among other things. Polio was merely rickets re branded again for big pharma to make money. The polio vaccine was pointless. A good dose of vitamin D such as was once given via cod liver oil in a spoon (a disgusting taste I understand). You can now get this in capsule form of course.

Vaccines are neuro-toxins, if there is anything in them at all, as are most big pharma drugs. The toxic drugs contain nitrogen and can be readily identified as a consequence if you know the chemistry. Therefore they are at best pointless, suppressing symptoms and not dealing with the real issue. Indeed, they usually merely add to the issues, hence the ever increasing cycle of drugs to treat side effects of drugs etc.

This ever increasing cycle is good for big pharma business not not for the human body.

Anyway, if your immune system is in good order then by and large you will tolerate a poisonous vaccine. If weakened you will suffer various side effects. If your immune system is very poor you may die.

Boosting your immune system with vitamin D can go a long way to protecting you against the toxicosis, but vitamin C is very good as an anti-oxidant to help flush the toxins out of your system. By and large you should be able to gain your vitamins etc from good, untainted food. Highly processed foods will not help.

Fear is a major problem in health. It should be noted that fear tends to ‘freeze’ the body’s immune system from functioning correctly and can stop people doing sensible things. Like avoiding having foreign bodies injected into their systems.

So when your soul or spirit is at peace your health will tend to be better. However, this does not mean you will avoid the side effects of chemical poisoning on your body if you don’t eat and drink cleanly.

As regards dying with, by, from, through etc. etc. Covid 19/the ‘flu, in essence the body organs are poisoned and then fail one by one. The ultimate cause is poisoning, but the symptoms, the cormorbidities, are what people are seen to die with.

Even the poisoning in itself is a deceit on the body’s defence systems and persuades them not to act, thus hastening sickness and death.”

I think it fair to say our bodies are a fine balancing act which we need to maintain at all times. I consider your advice on your site to be far more valuable than most doctors who sadly doctor the truth for the sake of big pharma, or the medical Nazis as they might be called.

And you sharing it sends light into the world which sorely needs it, so thank you again.

    Yours

    Baldmichael

    • Hi Baldmichael –
I’m delayed in this reply to you. I want to say, the charcoal might be better than bentonite – I’m not sure. But today I’m finding some caveats on bentonite, and will share them in my next post.
      Take care –
