Now is a great time to let go.
Whatever the trouble was, let go.
Forgiveness means that you quit drinking the venom of whatever happened.
This does not condone what happened.
Forgiveness drops your burden and lightens you up.
Throw the weight off and let your balloon rise naturally.
Forgiveness is rarely a one-shot effort.
It tends to be a process, releasing layers of hurt.
Years may pass, and we think we’re finished with an issue, yet the emotional charge of it may pop up again when we least expect it.
If we are mindful, we will be able to connect the dots.
We will tune into our feelings and recognize that the current trouble today harks back to the old wound. The wound still needs more soothing, more peacemaking.
The deeper we go into the process, the more we see that we are forgiving ourselves.
Inner conflicts, judgments and “pushing-against” the outer world are rooted in inner judgments about ourselves.
We tend to say, “xyz is awful and bad,” until we can relax enough to realize that we ourselves contain a little xyz.
We Are One.
We are part of everything, even the dark stuff.
We can forgive our shadow parts.
We wouldn’t want to hide the dark side.
