Let’s help you pack your suitcase for earth, your human holiday.
What will you bring? What qualities? How much sensitivity?
How much courage, and when, with whom?
Who will agree to provoke your growth?
Who might catch you when you fall?
What are your intentions?
You have an outline? You want to wing it?
Will these parents fit your needs, or in not fitting, serve you better?
These siblings? These friends, enemies?
How much love?
Tons of love here, saturating all of us: can you carry it down there?
Are you ready to splash into the illusions of Duality?
Welcome to the Chaos.
Although you cannot lose it, hang onto your heavenly cord.
You’ll do fine.
. . . “Time sure flies,” says the 96-year-old.
Whoops, it’s over! It went so fast.
We came, we saw (perhaps), we conquered (or not).
Tie it up in a package and burn it.
That body is finished, that life completed,
end of story.
This is what I learned, or not. This is what I did, or not.
This is how my heart grew.
It’s fine, this Earthy-Go-Round.
We rest. We come again.
Because it’s fun in the density.
When you peel an orange, its fragrance fills the room.
Birds sing through your windows.
Smells, stings, prickly pears belong to this density.
Here the rubber meets the road.
Tough enough to teach me what I asked to learn.
Anyhow, there’s nothing like squeezing yourself into this tiny human body,
narrowing your focus so tight, so limited, that
your eventual escape is incredible
