Knockout Cancer

book notes on  Knockout: Doctors who are Curing Cancer by Suzanne Somers
4 major MDs and their treatments:
Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski (Houston) – replaces a person’s antineoplastons, which are peptides usually produced by the liver to control cell multiplication.  (In a person with cancer, no antineoplastons are found – thus they need to be replaced.)  He’s getting great results.

Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez (New York) – uses aggressive nutritional program, individualized diet and supplements along with intensive detoxification (liver flushes, coffee enemas, juice fasts) and large doses of pancreatic enzymes.  Pancreatic enzymes target and kill CA cells.  Recommends chemosensitivity tests, done in Germany and Calif.  He says Chemo helps only with testicular CA, come lymphomas, childhood leukemia, Hodgkin’s.  Chemo does nothing for the major CA killers – metastatic breast, lung, prostate, and pancreatic cancers.  He says cancers don’t always arise from acidity.  Myeloma, sarcomas, lymphomas, leukemias occur in the alkaline environment of parasympathetic-type people (who are sleepy, creative, meat-eaters prone to depression).  Although that description sounds like an acidic body to me.
Dr. Kelley (Gonzalez’ mentor) said cancer and all diseases begin in the gut — poor nutrition, poor absorption, poor digestion.

Dr. James Forsythe (Reno) – Uses individualized supplements, good nutrition, balanced lifestyle, emotional harmony, detoxification and treatments to increase health of all organs.  He does send blood to Germany or Greece for chemosensitivity testing.  Favorite anti-cancer supplements are pawpaw, Poly-MVA, Salicinium.  He says cancer thrives on simple sugars in an acidic environment.  He wants everybody to shift into a more alkalinized state (through diet and supplements).  We should use only Omega-3 food oils: olive, flax, coconut (not Omega-6 canola, corn, safflower, sunflower, peanut, or vegetable oil).

Dr. Julie Taguchi is a breast cancer specialist, focusing on nutrition and hormone balancing.

More Practitioners:
Dr. Russell Blaylock says chronic inflammation causes most cancers.  Turmeric inhibits cancer, as does flavonoids and leafy green veggies.  He says to avoid soy foods, as they are eventually toxic to the brain.
Researcher Burton Goldberg says conventional medicine is good for acute conditions and trauma.  Alternative medicine works better for just about everything else, especially chronic degenerative diseases such as cancer, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, gastrointestinal disorders, headaches, etc.  (FYI Andrew Weil has similar opinions.)

Dr. Munoz of Tiajuana Mexico creates autologous vaccines (using person’s own blood), and has had great success with stage IV cancers.  He also recommends Wobenzym pancreatic enzymes.
David Schmidt of LifeWave LLC sells nanotechnology energy patches which are made of Glutathione, the master antioxidant (which reduces bodily toxins).  He suggests plenty of water always to flush ourselves clean.

Dr. Stephen Sinatra says cancer is placed in our path for a reason.  Listen to your inner self.  Feelings never lie.  (If we tend to avoid our tears, then our stress hormones  cause physical damage.)  Every cancer has an internal conflict going on.  Look at your emotional conflict.  Find the ‘good’ aspect of this event; find the lesson, then you will heal, says Dr. Sinatra.

Many of the above doctors showed how people can live well with their cancer or tumor for many many years.  Living a balanced life.  Avoiding the bodily damage that often occurs with conventional cancer treatments.
